Hello Everyone. I want to Thank you for
stopping by our website.  Please take a few
minutes to read about these beautiful dogs
pictured below.  We have had a rough few
weeks.  These beloved family pets were rescues
and stayed for their lifetime.  Ellie and Oliver
came to live with Shelley's mom after being
rescued.  They both passed away within a few
weeks of each other to natural causes. Shelley
also lost one of her Great Danes to a heart
condition.  It has been a heart wrenching month
for all of us.  I wanted to take some time to
Dedicate their life and memory.

I will never forget the first time I saw Ellie.  She was five
years old, beautiful and terrified.  Her owners of five years
walked her into the Petco and handed me her leash and
turned and walked away without even a pat on the head.
Ellie had done nothing wrong; they were just tired of her.
Little did she know that for her, life began at 5.  From there
her journey began into her Dane-ness; she was pampered
and loved. A life that she hadn’t even dreamed of before.
For neither her or her unsuspecting new life partner knew
right then that they needed each other.  They didn’t know
the other existed.  Well, in this case it turns out that
“Daughter” knows best.  It took me a little time to convince
my own Mother that she had an Ellie deficiency.  Of course
in her great dog wisdom Ellie knew it right off.  Once they
both saw the light, Mom and Ellie have been an
inseparable fixture ever since.

As with any of us at that age, we began to slow down.
With time, Ellie did the same.  But then there was
Oliver……  Oliver was found by animal control by a creek
bank, not able to walk and with an injured foot the size of a
volley ball with a wound to the bone.  They had to lift him
with a front loader to get him to the vet.  Everyone was
willing to give up on Oliver before he even had a chance,
everyone but my Mother.  She took him in and gave him
the TLC that physically healed him and he gave her the
unwavering devotion of unconditional love.  He was
always fine as long as he could see her and be closest to
her.  The addition of Oliver breathed new life into to Ellie.
She now had a new reason and focus in her life, to boss
Oliver.  And boss she did.  The word bitch is not such a
bad thing when it applies to a strong willed dog.  She
always managed to carry it off with such dignity and grace.

Ellie and Oliver lived in “Dangrila” with Inella Morgan.
They were an amazing trio.  But there is a plan when we all
are supposed to be here and when we leave.   The
devastating loss of Oliver to bloat was traumatic and
unexpected.  And just 8 weeks later, Ellie’s big heart had
fought the good fight and couldn’t go any more.  If you
have never truly loved a dog then you don’t understand.  If
you have, you know the emptiness in my Mother’s heart.
She asked that you show your support by helping to save
another animal.  It just might be the one that completes
you…………….
